Refund & Transaction Reversal Policy
Effective Date: September 1, 2025
This Refund & Transaction Reversal Policy ("Refund Policy") governs refunds, reversals, and cancellations for transactions initiated through Fortemax Pay (the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below
- General Policy
Fortemax Pay facilitates digital payments, cross-border transfers, and related financial services. Once a transaction has been authorized and processed, it is generally final and non-reversible, subject to the limited circumstances described in this policy and applicable law.
Due to the nature of payment networks, settlement rails, and digital asset transactions, refunds are not guaranteed and may not always be possible.
- Eligible Refund Scenarios
A refund or reversal may be considered only under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate Transactions: You were charged more than once for the same transaction due to a system error.
- Unauthorized Transactions: A transaction was completed without your authorization, subject to investigation and compliance review.
- Failed or Incomplete Transfers: Funds were debited from your account but not successfully delivered to the intended recipient due to a verified system failure.
- Service Errors: A technical error attributable to Fortemax Pay resulted in incorrect transaction execution.
All refund requests are subject to verification, compliance checks, and network confirmation.
- Non-Refundable Transactions
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Transactions successfully completed and delivered to the recipient
- User errors, including incorrect recipient details or wallet addresses
- Exchange rate fluctuations or market movements
- Compliance holds, freezes, or regulatory restrictions
- Transactions involving digital assets or stablecoins once confirmed on-chain
- Fees charged for completed services, including processing, FX, or network fees
- Cancellation Window
Transactions may be cancelled only if they have not yet been processed, settled, or transmitted to downstream payment rails. Once processing begins, cancellation is no longer possible.
- Refund Method and Timing
If approved, refunds will be issued:
- To the original payment method, where feasible
- Or as a credit to your Fortemax Pay account or wallet
Refund processing times vary depending on payment method, banking networks, and third-party providers, and may take 5–15 business days or longer.
- Fees
Processing, network, and FX fees may be non-refundable, even if a refund is approved, unless required by applicable law.
- Disputes and Chargebacks
Users are encouraged to contact Fortemax Pay first before initiating chargebacks. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account suspension or termination.
Fortemax Pay reserves the right to dispute chargebacks where appropriate and provide transaction records to payment processors and financial institutions.
- Regulatory and Compliance Holds
Refunds may be delayed or denied due to:
- Anti-money laundering (AML) or sanctions screening
- Regulatory investigations or legal requirements
- Requests from law enforcement or financial authorities
